"><span style="font-style: italic;">i wrote this a few days after my cruiser was stolen off of the tree it was chained to on 73rd and York. it is a chilling, intimate look into how deeply sad i was.</span><br /><br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">i miss you so much it hurts</span><br /><br />i thought of being with you <br />whenever i wasn't with you<br />i hurried home each day <br />to unchain you from the basement and back patio<br />and free us both<br /><br />we cruised together around central park<br />around and down <br />just my cruiser <br />and my central park playlist<br />and a venti iced green tea<br /><br />your bell rang best of all<br />and i'd ring it loud when it was just us<br />on that shortcut road by the ballfields<br />just us and your bell<br />telling the birds hi<br />and then goodbye<br />because we are fast<br /><br />i loved being with you <br />going fast or slow <br />or laying in the sun in battery park<br /><br />our trips i miss most <br />down the westside highway<br />that time you got hurt and your parts ripped off<br />i had to leave you down there<br />only to run back and put you over my shoulders<br />and carry you up that steep hill to a taxi<br />because you were too hurt to roll<br />and the bike store guy said he could fix you<br />i had grease all over my hands and a date that night<br />but you meant the most to me<br />those 2 kind meatheads offered to help <br />but it was my job<br /><br />you were always so smooth<br />and i looked forward to cruising with you<br />it was always us together <br /><br />once when we rode by strawberry fields<br />the homeless people were in the grass <br />singing "she's got a ticket to ride"<br />and i felt complete joy<br /><br /></p>]]></content:encoded></item></channel></rss>
