and THAT'S a freaky consequence if the low rumble of the R train lulls you into submission.

i am bad at napping in my personal life (unless i'm on an airplane then all i need is a zorro sleeping mask and some earplugs and its LIGHTS OUT) but i feel like the chances of not waking up and ending up somewhere really messed up get SO MUCH HIGHER when you're not sleeping in your own bed.
it's as if your bed was in the bed of someone's truck, and that person is driving home to the bronx. or even worse, what if that person is only REALLY paying attention 10% of the time as they're driving, just like the MTA revealed about it's own employees in a recent, horrifying press release.
TEN PERCENT!? i may also dick around while on the clock (see: wetsuit video) but i'm not holding a joystick underground going 40 mph with people's lives at stake.

this website (fallingasleeponthesubway) is hilarious, i don't know who manages it, but it's genius. i've started commuting with my didgecam, just to capture this kind of crap. at first i was seated between these two sleepers, and this lady's belongings were scattered ALL OVER the place (that's her glove on the ground).

i submitted this one (there's bonus points for asians!). but check out the archives on this site, they update it all the time so you can literally watch people sleeping on the subway in very-close-to real time.

check it out (i'm jenna b, clearly). you may have to copy/paste it into your browser, since i'm stiiiill figuring all this out. grazie.
